Hunger for Change: U.S. Food Banks’ Political Discourses and Approaches

Abstract

Based on in-depth interviews with 62 U.S. food bank leaders, I examine how food banks position themselves politically and the political actions they take. I explore how the status quo is reinforced with claims of political neutrality. I also explore the potential political power of food banks.
